Job Description : Senior Front End Developer – Vue JS, Hybrid Mobile App Development

The Senior Front End Developer is a pivotal lead role which will see you ‘in at the very start’ with this well positioned AI tech start-up. You will have experience of shipping at least one hybrid mobile app with strong across VueJS and Ionic/Capacitor.

The company is finalizing the build of a platform to boost mental health and resilience, with exciting plans for the rapid growth of a new Leeds / fully remote team – projected team size of 25+ by the second half of 2023.The product is a unique, artificially intelligent triaging system which subtly gathers unique insights into user behaviour.

As a senior front-end developer, you will be responsible for:

Hands-on coding of hybrid app front end, supporting admin console, and Firebase backend
Technical review of the work completed by other team members
Improvement of internal processes including GitHub actions, Ionic AppFlow and other CI/CD processes
Audit and maintain requirements for test coverage and quality control
Build quality processes such as ESLint, WebPack, and Babel
Direct liaison with the Product Owner and stakeholders as a key member of the team

Requirements:

VueJS – components, build system, page lifecycle management, mobile translation
HTML/CSS – strong, consistent CSS styling skills within the context of a hybrid mobile app, scoped styles, and variables
Ionic Framework/ Capacitor (or another hybrid web app technology)
Shipping a hybrid mobile application
Knowledge of client-side state machine models and data structures
Strong technical documentation skills and demonstrable readme.md examples
Minimum 3 years working remote in a distributed team
Minimum 5 years working in a scrum environment, excellent estimation skills expected at this level

Nice-to-haves:

Experience working with eLearning apps that utilise a combination of video and programmed responses
Experience building iOS and Android native plugins for Capacitor
Used Capacitor to build a hybrid app
Experience extracting assets from Figma

In essence, the preferred candidate will need to have excellent frontend skills and be strong across Service, Architecture and UX. The company has 2 weekly sprints with an iterative outlook. The tech stack includes: NodeJS, Firebase, VueJS, Ionic, Capacitor. Deployment via Ionic AppFlow, Github Actions.
