By using AgUnity, farmers can create secure, immutable transactions, enabling them to trade on a fairer basis and increase their incomesWhat do we do?We deploy low-cost smartphones loaded with our app all around the world, from East Africa, to SE Asia, to the Pacific. We work alongside farmers and cooperatives to find out their issues, training them to use our app and help them develop their businesses.Where are we located?Although our head office is on the Gold Coast in QLD, Australia, our people and projects are spread over 16 different countries. We are predominantly a remote based company, working over several time zones. The role of Senior Frontend Software Developer will be a remote role with a preference for applicants located between the time zones GMT+5:30 (India) through to GMT+10 (Australia)What is the job?We are looking for experienced developers with a keen eye for design for the position of Senior Frontend Developer. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of web and mobile app design and user experience requirements, optimising pages for maximum efficiency, and maintaining brand consistency across all web and mobile apps, among other duties. You will be required to work in teams alongside Backend Developers, Graphic Designers and UX Designers to ensure all elements of web and app creation are consistent. This role will also require mentoring of our junior front-end developers.Who are we looking for?A structured, tenacious and values-focused person with a passion for learning. This position is ideal for an experienced developer looking to step into a lead role.At least 4+ years’ experience working as a Front-end or Full Stack DeveloperExperience with web front end technologies – HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, TypescriptStrong Knowledge of at least one of the following – Angular, Ionic, React.JSStrong experience and desire to work with agile development methodologyStrong knowledge of working with web APIs, including both request and streaming variantsStrong experience delivering public facing web and mobile applicationsExperience working within a DevOps cultureKnowledge of Reactive app designExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProven problems solving and analytical skillsPassionate about emerging technologiesStrong level of curiosityBachelor’s degree (or higher) in a technical field (information systems, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, science etc)Nice to have skillsDatabase proficiency, including traditional SQL & Document DatabasesExperience with Azure/other cloud platformsDevelopment team leadership experienceResponsibilitiesWork with our CTO to manage requirements for our app suiteDetermine the structure and design of our web and mobile app pagesAlongside our product team, develop our apps to provide a consistent user experienceDevelop features to enhance the user experience, striking a balance between functional and aesthetic designEnsure our web design is optimised for smartphonesBuilding reusable code for future useOptimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalabilityUtilizing a variety of markup languages to write web pages and applicationsMaintaining brand consistency throughout designMentor and review code of your fellow front-end developersWhat are we offering?A permanent position in an agile organisation with meaningful responsibilities and room for growth.
