Serve as Sr. GCP Cloud Services Engineer in support of Multi-Cloud vision – “Expanding Our Real Estate”. Transform cloud hosting strategy into technical reality through the build and support of hybrid and managed public cloud landscapes.
About the Job:
As a GCP Services Engineer, you will provide End End support (Design, Development, Testing, Release, and Support) for Google Cloud Platform products and solutions including, Google Cloud Storage, Google Compute Engine, Managed Instance Groups, Cloud Tasks, and new services. The engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and developer support as part of a 24×7 support organization to our customers using Google Cloud Platform products, solutions, and APIs.
Come join a team working on distributed system problems that is critical for Ford along with a group of passionate, experienced, and support engineers. This is a role part of Public Cloud Services under Cloud Platform Services, ITO.
ResponsibilitiesDesign high-performance and scalable IaC workflow automation and lifecycle management of these resources. Integrate with various lower stack layers for providing deeper functionality.Serve as an escalation point for customer technical issues. Triage and escalate issues to Google Support as requiredWork closely with other DevOps engineers, product owners, and partner service teams to get high-quality services and features through the DevOps/Agile.Manage project schedules, identify technical risks and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders.Coach and mentor engineers to design and implement highly available and reliable services.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience utilizing cloud compute platforms (GCE, EC2, GKE, EKS, AKS, VMware)3+ years of experience utilizing cloud storge services (GCS, Amazon S3, Azure Blob)2+ years of experience utilizing app services like Cloud Functions, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Run, Lambda, Azure Function3+ years working with Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Habitat, Puppet, Ansible.Strong understanding of administration (user accounts, permission models, access control)Experience in authentication and authorization services like AD, LDAP, ADFS, SSL.Familiarity with networking (NAT, firewalls, basic routing, load balancing, etc.)Familiarity with common Linux troubleshooting tools (vmstat, iostat, lsof, strace, etc.) or Windows troubleshooting tools (perfmon, srt, wmdt, task manager)Open to being on call for weekends and after hoursMust be highly organized and detail-orientedSuccessful at working in a team cultureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving and Analytical/Reasoning skills
Useful Qualifications:
Experience with code-level troubleshooting with Java, NodeJS, or similar language a plusExperience with Chatbot development
