Role Description
If you are seeking for a challenging job, managing a large infrastructure with many stakeholders this job is for you. We are looking for a technical lead, to take full responsibility for our labs in Bangalore and help support labs in the APAC region. In this role you will supervise team members and collaborate with other teams providing technical direction, high quality services, and implement solutions that help our engineers innovate, and delivery software to our customers.
Responsibilities
Full responsibility for India labs and other support of other APAC sites
Support the physical lab infrastructure including structured cabling, rack and stack, space & capacity planning.
Ensure high stands for all rack installations with a priority on health and safety.
Supervise rack & stack & RF engineers
Work as part of a global labs team, documenting systems, sharing knowledge, and following standards.
Address technical debt and focus on efficiency to get the most from our infrastructure.
Personal Attributes
Proven technical lead experience working in data centres or R&D environments.
At least 10 years’ experience with infrastructure roles.
Team player that can take ownership and lead on complicated tasks.
Great understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware.
Knowledge on VMware, systems admin (Linux or Windows), updating firmware.
Knowledge of RF distribution & digital video compression understanding a benefit.
Works well under pressure.
Practical engineer or bachelor’s degree.
