The Company:
Our client is an award-winning and highly established volume home building company and due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced Senior Masters Draftsperson to join their busy team in Melbourne.
Purpose of the role:
The Senior Masters Draftsperson is responsible for producing and maintaining accurate and detailed Master Drawings, Design Options and Marketing Brochures for all existing product along with the introduction of new designs and relevant Design Options. The position also requires a high level of Compliance knowledge and experience relying on Building Regulations, Rescode and Small Lot Housing Code to ensure all Master Drawings are compliant prior to release.
Other Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Accurately using AutoCAD to prepare and complete architectural drawings within designated time frames and in line with business workflow and construction principles.
Liaising with engineers to ensure Masters engineering design meets projects requirements Analysing and checking outsourced Drafting product and ensuring accuracy and level of detail is at the highest standard possible.
Complete checking of other Internal Draftsperson’s work when required.
Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales documentation.
Maintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Residential Building products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently and efficiently.
Role Requirements:
Proven experience using CAD – minimum 2 years experience
Experience working for a volume builder
Understanding of RESCODE, MCP & Developer Guidelines
A strong understanding of the residential home building and construction process
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and deal with a variety of activities and clients at the one time
Demonstrated ability to work in a customer focused environment Intermediate MS Office skills
