What This Position Is All About:
The Senior Mobile Engineer will work collaboratively with a product lead to define success metrics and roadmaps, and be accountable for the delivery of mobile applications. Additionally, you will own end to end delivery, and influence the technical design and architecture of our stack for our iOS & Android mobile applications. This role will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, developing and upskilling existing engineers on mobile development and testing. This role will report directly to the Director of Engineering, Client Applications.
You Have:
3+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and releasing iOS & Android mobile applications
Experience working with WebKit
Some of Swift, Java, Kotlin, ReactNative, Svelte, NativeScript knowledge
Vanilla JavaScript (ES5, ES6) knowledge
Familiarity with MVC pattern
GIT best practices
Experience with mobile tools such as Crashlytics, TestFlight, Bitrise, & Firebase
As The Senior Mobile Engineer, you will:
Support your team in developing scalable and reliable systems
Develop team’s technical strategy and roadmap, and influence the technical design and architecture of our stack
Help create a sustainable SDLC and advise on best practices
Oversee development of technical documentation, including functional and non-functional specifications, implementation and operational support documentation
Interface with Web and Analytics team in order to deliver on hybrid mobile apps
Lead discussion on future App technologies – Native vs ReactNative, etc
Contribute to the team culture in a positive way by mentoring junior developers and being an eager collaborator
Make good, informed decisions around technical debt, 3rd party tools, and tradeoffs
Ensure best Agile practices are being followed
