A Senior Product Manager has a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. This person will be responsible for one or many applications within the Conga product suite. They will collect feedback from stakeholders and work directly with the engineering team(s) to ensure their product(s) continuously improve.
A Senior Product Manager will perform market-related activities such as customer research and visits, competitive analysis, support sales opportunities, and assist with customer support escalations to develop an execution path for a winning product.
Responsibilities:
Product Expertise
Be a subject matter expert on the product(s), including technical functionality, target market needs, user personas, and buyer evaluation criteria.
Provide product demonstrations
Present various product use cases and value propositions to your stakeholders
Monitor and respond to questions on internal and external communications channels.
Communicate with Tech Support, Professional Services, and other internal teams regarding product-related customer use cases
Work with other Conga product teams to ensure cross-product coordination of planning.
Assist in building training curriculums for stakeholders, partners, and customers.
Ensure products are well represented by the sales & customer experience teams in presentations and demonstrations
Product Ownership
Act as the Product Owner in our Agile processes – prioritize, define, clarify.
Prioritize the work to include in each development sprint.
Guide the scrum team to deliver best-in-class, healthy software at an impressive pace.
Effectively manage the backlog by grooming and prioritizing based on data and feedback.
Create and maintain a product roadmap, track delivery schedules against the roadmap, and escalate any risks or issues.
Own the product definition and refinement process (describe the problem, and draft user stories and acceptance criteria).
Work with development to decompose high-level features into user stories.
Work with the user experience team to craft visual and written guidance for use by the development team.
Quality assurance (QA) for new features/functionality
Product Research
Collect and organize feedback from internal and external stakeholders using surveys, interviews, groups, and usability testing (to name a few).
Gather and validate product requirements from customers and other stakeholders.
Utilize in-app telemetry and feature management to analyze product usage data and trends
Implement key product metrics and track performance against targets.
Understand the company’s financial objectives and your products key growth metrics (new revenue, attrition, and retention)
Communications
Assist with product launch activities.
Provide written summaries, analyses, and action plans that drive conversion, usage, satisfaction, and performance improvement.
Manage release status for development, and communicate status to other departments externally.
Facilitate user group activities and product advisory councils
Maintain and update information for operational reporting
Experience, Skills, and Competencies:
8+ years previous experience in a product manager role, preferably for a SaaS product
Experience in building API and integrations
Familiarity in building ML based products
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to convey technical solutions to people of all abilities
Demonstrated professionalism interacting with a variety of audiences internally and externally
Knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of complex software architecture
Strong listening skills and a healthy sense of curiosity
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity as projects evolve
