About this role
Service Operations providing (24/7) support to customers on services included within the private line and data product sets. This support includes accepting and progressing faults received directly from end customers and BT interfaces. It also includes proactive network surveillance and progressing faults to resolution with suppliers and vendors.
You’ll have the following responsibilities
q Co-ordinates maintenance and repair of the telecommunications and ancillary electronic equipment.
q Likely to be working in a 24/7 service centre environment interfacing directly with end customers, various BT distributors and customer service centres.
q Responsible for monitoring network and management systems performance by identifying customer traffic and customer impacting system problems.
q Work with BT partners and end customers to coordinate inter working testing and fault isolation / repair.
q Analyse complex equipment problems and provide recommendations and coordination of repairs or replacement of associated faulty equipment.
q Manages repairs requiring knowledge of procedures utilised within the international market place. Including recording data of significant complexity.
q Analyses data and prepares reports detailing results.
q Responsible for driving suppliers to repair on associated access circuit faults.
You’ll have the following skills & experience
q CCNA & CCNP certification or equivalent level of experience. F5/Nexus knowledge will be an added advantage.
q Good communication and interpersonal skills.
q An excellent knowledge of data networking principles.
q Excellent TCP/IP knowledge with the ability to inspect packet captures to advance level and work with other infrastructure teams.
q Hardware/Software (advance level) Cisco switches and routers (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR)
q Engineer should have hands of experience on Cisco(6500, Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K, 2K) devices.
q Must be good with routing protocols(BGP, EIGRP and OSPF), VPC, switching, VRF, ACL, VSS, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, DHCP NXOS upgrade.
q Wireless – Cisco PRIME, Controllers, Identify Service Engines, Access point. Required hands-on experiences on PRIME and good knowledge on Wireless.
q Knowledge for Ionix Tool will be added advantage.
q Hands-on knowledge on SDWAN and DNA-c will be added advantage
q Strong IT/Technical skills (understanding of software, hardware, networks)
