The Analytics Center of Excellence
Our new Analytics Center of Excellence (Analytics COE) harnesses our global healthcare insights, working closely with our clinical and therapeutic experts to power evidence-driven design, speed site activation and recruit the right patients, faster. Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) – the role
As an SDET you have the coding skills of a developer and the testing knowledge and experience of a quality software engineer. As member of the ACOE you will have the chance and support to develop truly innovative automation test solutions. You will have an opportunity to help shape the future of test automation by contributing to the creation of frameworks while working in a cutting-edge continuous integration and delivery model. Working closely with the software development and data scientists you will contribute to automated testing solutions by participating in many facets of automation including: integration testing, back-end testing, big data validations, API and microservices, and so much more.
Your typical activities might include:
Collaborating with business owners, subject matter experts, and go to market teams to develop testing strategies and approaches to support multiple distributed agile teamsParticipating in activities focused around the agile software development cycleDesigning, developing and supporting test automationContributing and collaborating on test frameworks, environments, tool selection and infrastructureIdentifying data requirements and generating and maintaining test dataReporting testing progress and quality status to stakeholders, participating in test planning and bug triages
Qualification:
Our ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelors degree in STEM field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics3+ years of relevant Quality Engineering automation experience (ie, UI, system, integration, API, performance/load, database, security, end to end)2+ years of writing test scripts from scratch with the ability to work in a Behavior Data Driven Model (BDD) and/or Test Data Driven Model (TDD), experienced with Gherkin and/or Cucumber syntax2+ years of experience working in a UI framework such as Selenium WebDriver2+ years of experience with Object Oriented Programming languages – Python or Scala2+ years of experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), Jenkins, and GitMust have Agile Scrum SDLC experience, strong SQL skills and experience working in a Linux/Unix environmentExperience working on a big data platform a plusExperience working in a regulated environment a plusExperience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Postman, and JMeter also a plusSoft skills: self-motivated, flexible and adaptable, ability to multi-task, oral and written fluency in English
