Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills. Should have hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies.
Your goal will be to develop high-quality software aligned with user needs and business goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with key stake holders to match the raw requirements into design specifications
Collaborate with UI/UX design teams and align them to requirements and limits
Design and develop engaging user experiences
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Visualize 2D and 3D data from various back-end services and databases
Create and maintain software documentation
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling up the web application
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into practice
Code review pull requests and maintain a high standard in linting
Guide our Junior Developers and Interns
Research and Explore new and upcoming libraries/tech
Audit app performance, implement improvements and optimizations
Qualifications: Bachelors/Master of Engineering (Information Technology / Computer Science)
Relevant Experience: 5+ years of appropriate engineering experience coding in ReactJS
Desired Skills & Characteristics:
Proven working experience in web application development
Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, JavaScript
Must be very proficient in JavaScript ES6, React and SCSS
Experience with task runners (bundlers) like Gulp, Grunt, Webpack
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Must be creative and able to develop new approaches to complex design problems
Good to Have Skills:
Experience with viz. libraries like D3, Three.js, WebGL, OpenLayers/GoogleMaps/Mapbox
Experience with Material design or any popular design concept
Experience with GIS web application development
