Job Description : What you will learn and contribute to
The APT Team designs and develops automation infrastructure and tool enhancements to maximize the effectiveness and productivity of ION Optics feature teams and test teams in their automated test development, execution, and analysis activities.
In this role you will serve as a Splunk Administrator and developer, troubleshooting problems with the system, onboarding new data types and developing dashboards.
You will also be providing Splunk development and consulting services for hundreds of globally distributed testers and software developers performing data analysis and dashboard development with the Splunk tool
Provide support in implementing various problem signature use cases using Machine learning algorithm in Splunk for anomaly detection.
You will be architecting and developing a new Open Agent interface for a new Optics product line as well as providing support and developing the existing Python data model that is used to interface to Optical Network Elements via CLI and openconfig/gNOI interfaces for global test automation.

Your skills and experience
Education:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of 10 years work experience in a tool related software development role working with Python

Programming Knowledge:
Strong knowledge in Automation Framework development using Python
Strong scripting knowledge in Python and other scripting language (Perl, Shell, TCL).
Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts and Data modeling
Proficient in SPL language used for Splunk enterprise.
Strong knowledge in Splunk configuration and administration of both in single and cluster environment.
Expert level of knowledge with IDEs like Eclipse and PyCharm
Deep knowledge of regular expressions.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Domain Knowledge:
Experience in Yang data model including RESTCONF and MDCLI for 1830PSS
Experience in working on Test Automation in 1830PSS, 1850 TSS 320
Knowledge on fundamentals of Testing and Test Automation
Knowledge on fundamentals of Telecom
Strong domain knowledge on DWDM, Fiber Optics.
Knowledge on Management protocols like TL1, CLI for 1830PSS
Product Knowledge about various Nokia Optical Network Elements.

B.E./B.Tech/ Masters in Computer science
