Job Description : Senior Technical Writer – FFDC Innovation Platform
Job Summary – What will you contribute?
Finastra’s platform opens up our core systems in Retail Banking, Payments, Lending, Corporate Banking and Treasury & Capital Markets via open APIs. It enables financial institutions in innovation and in the fintech ecosystem.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, the Publications Manager will be responsible for the creation of documentation, training video and exercises that help producers and consumers to join the platform.
Your work will include the creation of learning path and documentation, the collaboration with Junior Technical Writers to create the content and the coordination with Engineering to create the expert content. You will track and monitor the success of the published content, the feedback from users and stakeholders and manage the creation and improvement plans.
Responsibilities and deliverables
Your deliverables as a Publications Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Understand the scope of contents that is necessary to train producers and consumers of the platform, understand the business requirements
Deliver the roadmap of learning courses and certifications ; Contribute to content creation, and manage contribution of Tech Writers: create, update and edit functional, technical, and user documentation
Ensure application of best practices for the learning content with the right mix of videos, written documents, workshops, exercises
Co-manage contribution to content creation of Engineering team and Product Managers
Seek for feedback from the targeted audience and improve content according to feedback and goals
Ensure the delivery of Contents globally, across regions, countries, lines of business and build targeted content and targeted learning path as necessary
Work with Product Management organization and Engineering mangers, identifies continuous improvement opportunities for platform processes
Required Skills & Experience
Excellent writing and communications skills
Proven track record of Senior Technical Writing and/or Content Management with demonstrated success in enabling the targeted audience to be upskilled for supporting the business needs
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a senior technical writer in a computer software company
Ability to extract information from very busy subject matter experts
3+ years of Financial Industry experience preferred
3+ years working with SaaS/Cloud financial services products preferred
Ability to work independently, apply judgment, maintain stable performance under stress and flexibility in an evolving work environment.
