Senior Java Developer Job Description This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position supports and transforms existing and new mission critical and highly-visible operational website(s) and applications ýff spanning multiple technology stacks ýff through all phases of SDLC, while working collaboratively across IT, business, and 3rd party suppliers from around the globe in a 24×7, fast-paced, and Agile based environment. Specifically, youýffll do the following: ýff Collaborate with customers and business teams to transform business requirements into functioning software ýff Work with business, architect, infrastructure, security, and other corporate teams to provide end to end solution and support for steady-state systems ýff Combine conceptual understanding with broad applied experience and provides seasoned technical expertise, high-level analytical, interpretative, evaluative, and/or constructive advice ýff Evaluate requirements and enhancements requests, and propose solutions with careful consideration of cost, impact, standards, and compatibility to with other systems ýff Assist in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates, testing strategies, and work plans ýff Prepare, consolidate, and generate release notes that are audience appropriate ýff Apply advanced level understanding of current and future technology architecture and integrate this knowledge into design, problem solving, planning, and strategic technical roadmaps ýff Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software ýff Use critical thinking to frame complex issues/problems, develop multiple creative solution options, perform tradeoff analysis, identify impact of various alternative solutions and synthesize data to arrive at a recommended approach in support of making decisions and taking action ýff Perform thorough analysis and generate root-cause-analysis for any production incident ýff Maintain and enhance existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development ýff Troubleshoot and debug complex issues; identifies and implements solution Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 5+ years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies 3+ years of experience providing technical leadership Knowledge and experience with the following: ýff Knowledge and experience with Cloud Technologies including Microsoft Azure ýff Java SE, Java EE, or Spring ýff Object Oriented design principles ýff Java/Java EE design patterns, SOA principles and patterns, EAI patterns, and UML ýff Databases and Frame works including experience with Azure SLQ, Hibernate, and NoSQL ýff Diagnostics/Testing Tools, such as Splunk, Dynatrace, LISA, and SOAP UI ýff Well versed in application design, development, automated testing and delivery in an agile environment ýff Strong understanding of PCI, SOX, PII, and security processes and standards ýff Familiarity with software configuration management/build processes ýff Ability to document the existing environment and develop the strategy and tasks to prepare for changes to the design, describing the technical functions, as well as the business functions involved ýff Ability to generate technical roadmaps ýff Ability to train and mentor team members ýff Ability to accurately investigate and document the details of the current and future system ýff Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills ýff Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools ýff Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including TDD (test driven development), Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment ýff Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments ýff Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices ýff Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals ýff Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, customers, and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources ýff Proven ability to keep multiple complex efforts moving forward quickly while exercising an appropriate level of discipline
