Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the design and execution of performance test plans and test cases; and implementation and maintenance of automated testing of our BIG-IP® SSLO product. This includes creating test plans and automation for large projects based on product documentation and functional specifications; creating, documenting, and using software test tools, test automation, and test cases; executing tests; documenting test results; and validating fixed issues.
What you will do:
Opportunity to work with senior engineers to understand product requirements, architecture and new feature designs.
Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and respective test cases for new and existing features for SSLO product.
Support, extend, and implement automated tests and infrastructure that provide feature coverage.
Develop and maintain automation that is stable and extendable.
Participates actively in code review process, posting scripts, and incorporating feedback, as well as reviewing automation submitted by other team members.
Analyze and evaluate test results, report and assist in resolution of product issues.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in computer/engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
4-8 years professional experience in the testing and/or development of computer software, preferably in the UNIX environment.
Experience in test driven development.
Knowledge of IP networking: routing, switching, and network standards from layer 1 on up through the transport and applications layers.
Knowledge of application layer protocols (example HTTP, SSL) preferred.
Knowledge of coding standards in an object-oriented language (Python preferred).
Knowledge of automation infrastructure such as Robot, Selenium, Jenkins
Experience in using IXIA preferred.
Able to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced high-performance environment.
UNIX skills (system configuration and administration, containers, networking experience such as sockets and database management).
Excellent technical writing and communications skills.
