Responsible for the validation and debug of device driver software through the design and development of software validation environments. Develops and debugs test firmware to verify and program device drivers. Responsible for the creation of validation plans and associated methodologies, as well as debugging failures. Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, determines root causes of failures, and recommends or develops corrective action. Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience internship experiences and or school work classes research. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Math Physics or related field Minimum Qualifications: 6 years of experience in validation and debug of network software 2 years of experience in open stack programmable device programmable pipeline or network protocols 3 years of experience in OOP design with scripting languages like Python on various OS platforms 5 years of experience with software testing and test methodology ie functional integration usage model regression or performance testing 4 years of experience in various testing tools like iperf netperf or Ixia packet analyzers Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree is preferred
