At Walmart Global Tech India, we use technology for the charter of building brand new platforms and services on the latest technology stack to support both our e-commerce and stores businesses worldwide.

Our Team:

This position is with NexTech under the Enterprise Business Services organisation. Enterprise areas of Walmart like Finance, Indirect Procurement, People Systems and others are in the midst of massive digital transformation.

Our team is building products for these areas from scratch, dealing with challenges from gathering user data, developing machine learning models to understand business processes better and making them more holistically data driven and intelligent. We leverage machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) and big data technologies to get the scale and precision required for solving these problems. We are also working on some cutting edge deep learning and computer vision technologies to solve some of the business critical problems.

Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for delivering highly reusable and quality solutions for the product requirements in a fast-paced agile scrum environment.

Participates in medium- to large-scale projects by translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes.

Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues.

Provides support to the business by responding to user’s questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.

Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices.

Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Core Skills & Experience desired:

3-7 years hands-on experience building mobile and web applications.

Hands on in React Native, React JS & Node JS

Experience in building mobile apps using Flutter, native Swift/Android

Extensive experience in building React Native apps (Native iOS or Android).

Familiarity with the Android Design , Material Design Guidelines is a must

Strong knowledge of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture—and the ability to choose the best solution for the app

Familiarity working with REST APIs for deep integrations with both platforms i.e. general best practices, shortcomings, trade-offs, etc.

Experience with other development frameworks (Ionic, Angular, Vue, Native Android, Native iOS) would be a plus.

Familiarity with OOP design principles

Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

Experience building customisable, reusable and dynamic components using ReactJS, React Hooks, Redux, JavaScript, ES6, Typescript, HTML, CSS and NodeJS.

Experience in automation testing using tools such as Jest/Enzyme/Appium/Detox.

A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment.

Experience with project build with CICD pipelines through Jenkins, understanding of deterministic functional testing, End to End automation.

Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Good if you have:

Experience with GraphQL & NextJS.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana.

Cloud experience: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, micro-services architectures (REST), event-based architecture (JMS, Kafka, Active MQ, MQTT etc), stream technologies (Storm, Spark, etc)

Databases experience: relational (SQL Server, MySQL), NoSQL document storage (Azure Cosmos, Mongo, Cassandra, etc.)
