Join our Edge Experience Engineering Division
Edge Experience Engineering team owns, develops and manages the solutions used by our engineers globally. These solutions help to run one of the largest distributed systems in the world. We work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to create innovative, scalable, highly reliable and secure systems
Work with cutting edge technology
You will develop software solutions that will help to detect / track vulnerabilities across the systems. Collaborating with users, our internal engineers, to design, shape and create innovative solutions. You will aim to provide a seamless risk mitigation development experience to users/internal engineers.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Working with various groups within Akamai to gather requirements and collaborate with architects to build enterprise solutions.
Developing software to enhance our engineering productivity by creating frontend and backend for our vulnerability management
Designing, developing, unit testing, system & integration testing of applications.
Involving in enhancement and bug fixes of existing applications
Maintaining user documentation and knowledge bases along with mentoring juniors.
Working in diverse nature of programming languages as needed
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 7+ years plus relevant experience developing and deploying software on a large scale
Be fluent in one or more of the following programming languages: Java / Python
Have experience in working with system integrations and/or dashboard-based data reporting
Be passionate about understanding, learning and dissecting new technologies quickly on your own.
Be Proficient in using build tools, Linux commands & Shell.
Be experienced in Databases: MySQL/MariaDB or PostgreSQL
