Job Description : Sr. Executive IT Operations job is available in Islamabad for a leading telecom company. An ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science/ computer engineering/ IT along with 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in directing, planning, activities of data processing installation, operation, and general support, perform other related duties as required.

Sr. Executive IT Operations job role is to support day-to-day business requests received via email/WhatsApp etc. regarding operational issues/support required in an irregular and ad-hoc manner.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for administration and smooth Level-1/2 operations pertaining to Mobile Financial Services Technology Platforms, Products and Services such as but not limited to Core Wallet Platform, Mobile App(s), Web Portal(s), Biometric Related Services, Payment Gateway, MFS Website, etc.
Support day-to-day business requests received via email/WhatsApp etc. regarding operational issues/support required in an irregular and ad-hoc manner.
Responsible for receiving issues/complaints from primary touchpoints i.e. NOC (IT – OMC), Customer Care, S&D, Business Teams, and resolving the issues within agreed Turn Around Time.
Responsible for opening and closure of tickets/issues towards vendor(s) and ensuring swift follow-up ensuring compliance to OLA’s/KPI’s.
Responsible for conducting deployment activities (Onsite/Remote) on production systems of Mobile Financial Services while ensuring coordination with relevant stakeholders (Planning, NOC, Vendor, Product Development, etc.)
Responsible for locking Work Orders, Securing Timely Approvals, and intimating to relevant stakeholders for the deployment of changes/downtime on production platforms.
Responsible for providing operational impact analysis during the launch of new products and services.
Responsible for conducting regression testing on a staging environment, conducting sanity testing on production environment post-deployment of any change(s) in addition to extending support during SIT/UAT of a new product launch or changes in existing products/services.
Responsible for Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance related activities on Technology Production Systems (Remotely or by Visiting Data Center) of Mobile Financial Services.
Formulate, improve and ensure implementation of Policies and Procedures like Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management, etc.
Assist Lead MFS Operations to define, acquire and maintain tools to improve the efficiency of the operations unit and technical support.
Assist Lead MFS Operations in the formulation of Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Operational Reports, Architecture/Network Diagrams, Dashboards pertaining to Technology Platform(s) Performance, Downtime/Outages/Degradations, Complaints Resolution, Root Cause Analysis, and Deployment Activities, etc.
Formulation and execution of technology disaster recovery plans as per policy or when required.
Single touchpoint for assembling CAB (Change Approval Board) on weekly basis to streamline the deployment of changes (Configuration, Patches, Network Related, Infrastructure Related) into a production environment.
Assist Lead MFS Operations in developing standard operating procedures and best practices for operations to better support customers (Internal and External) using Lean and Agile Processes.

Skills:

Comfortable working in a 24/7/365 operations environment and flexible in terms of availability.
Flexible in terms of working for extended hours during outages, issues, degradations, etc. on MFS technology platforms or eco-system.
Possess extensive and hands-on experience in Application Operations.
Knowledge of MFS Infrastructure, IT Network, and Databases.
Expertise with LINUX/UNIX/Windows Operating Systems for monitoring and conducting analysis.
Experience with SQL & Database Skills (Oracle, MySQL).
Knowledge/Expertise of IP Networking, VPN’s, DNS, SSL, Firewalls, and Load Balancing.
Experience with Multi-Vendor Management.
