Role description:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Senior GIS Consultant – someone who is passionate about the potential for using GIS and Geospatial technology on projects to deliver value. You will need a proven track record of using the ESRI product suite and experience of data management, processing, analysis and interpretation. You will have the ability to work effectively with other team members, contributing to final deliverables. Communication and internal / external engagement skills along with being able to present complex technical issues in a clear and logical way are essential.
•

elivering GIS work on UK projects
•iaising with internal clients and the UK GIS teams
•ndertaking GIS mapping, analysis, data capture, data management and geoprocessing
•xtraction and formatting of AutoCAD data into GIS formats
•nalysing and developing databases
•reparing, analysing, and integrating Excel data with GIS
•orking with the Project GIS team to deliver GIS deliverables to tight deadlines
•ndertaking quality control of GIS work undertaken by other GIS staff
•ontributing to the technical development of the GIS team through sharing ideas and innovations
•erforming other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis
Role accountabilities:
Demonstrable post-graduation in a similar position
•
SRI ArcGIS 10.3 or above
•orking knowledge of relational databases RDBMS and database design
•ood knowledge of using Microsoft Access and Excel with GIS and project management
•xperience of programming in either Python, SQL or VBA and a desire to develop these skills further
•ustomer focused approach to quality and service
•xcellent written and verbal communication skills
•bility to identify innovative solutions to problems
•ell-motivated and team focused with an ability to work without supervision and act on own initiative
•nderstanding and working knowledge of core principles of GIS and GI data management
•ell-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
•esire to work within a consultancy environment applying GIS to infrastructure, geoscience, and projects

Desirable Experience:
•
xperience of working within geotechnical and environmental disciplines
•xperience of working with flood risk data, geotechnical data, and environmental data
•orking knowledge of ESRI Model Builder or FME Desktop
•SRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE
•rcGIS Mobile or ESRI Collector App / Survey123
•ostgreSQL/PostGIS

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as GIS / Geoinformatics or Engineering / Earth Sciences with 8 to 12+ years of experience in GIS.
