Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and prioritize customer requirements, and develop and implement solutions which satisfy customer expectations.
Mentor Junior members of the team to address technical issues / challenges and implement the proper solution
Hands on experience working with JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Workflows, Client Scripts, UI Policy, UI Actions.
Working as part of the broader CMDB delivery team working on the full lifecycle of platform including Data Ingestion using ETL (SSIS, Informatica) and Messaging Services (Kafka, Rabbit MQ), building new integrations and consumption models, UI for enhanced customer experience, dashboards, reconciliation processes, and end user attestation capability
Working knowledge of CMDB and hands on experience building transform maps, precedence based job schedules, Web Services API based data imports, and building / testing external data sources.
Hands on experience working with Service Now Discovery including developing discovery, managing discovery patterns, and creating custom discovery patterns.
Hands on experience working with Predictive Analytics, the CMDB Query builder, and the Service Now data reconciliation processes and capabilities, a plus.
Experience working with Jelly scripting, Glide API, Java scripting and working knowledge of various JS frameworks like AngularJS, NodeJS etc.
Working knowledge of the APIs, web services and standard relational database concepts required. Candidate should have hands on experience and be comfortable writing complex SQL queries with multi table joins, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
Identify requirement gaps to maintain a high degree of quality in the solution build and provide configuration options to meet specific requirements identifying respective pros and cons for each option.
Ensure that ServiceNow standard best-practices are utilized for all configurations and customizations.
Provide training for each tools functionality both in person and through using other methods.
Document the technical requirements / as built documentation.
Participate in project meetings/daily scrums and communicate development status.
Support multiple instances of the platform including Development, QA, and Production. system configurations.
Develop, System Test. Debug, Implement, and Document complex programs. Ability to
develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
Support project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems. Provides technical advice on alternatives / solutions relative to requirements.
Analyzing, creating proof of concepts, designing, developing and customizing business
applications
Designing and implement software that is simple, intuitive and easy to use that will
allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific business needs.
Working with Internal customers for requirement clarifications and solution designing.
24/7 support of the CMDB platform which also includes monitoring, maintaining and resolving tickets through the queue management process.

Qualifications

8+ years in a Application Development role working as a full-stack developer with experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff members.
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT or Software Engineering
Candidate should have experience as Full-stack Java developer comfortable designing UI’s with Policies, Application level Business Rules / Logic, or database architectures for RDMS or NoSql solutions.
Experience of developing on Service Now Platform at a minimum with Kingston – Paris.
Experience writing scripts in JavaScript, Powershell, NodeJS, C, and / or C++.
Experience working with ETL solutions such as SSIS or Informatica and / or Messaging Platforms such as Kafka or Rabbit MQ for data consumption and integrations. .
Hands on experience with SQL creating Stored Procedures, Views, etc. and writing complex queries. Understanding of differences between a Join vs Unions, an Inner Join vs an Outer Join.
Working experience integrating with REST or SOAP API’s and interpreting JSON /XML output for consumption.
Candidate must have working knowledge of CMDB including Class Structures, Hierarchies.
Candidate should have strong understanding of Application Architectures, Network Topologies, and System Platforms including Physical, Virtualization, Storage, and Containers.
Candidate should possess working experience troubleshooting issues with catalog workflows, business rules, transform maps and on-before, after scripts or script includes.
Effective writing skills with the ability to document application configurations, system design and architecture.
Strong requirements gathering experience. Ability to work with business users and clients
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers, system administrators, team members and management and use sound judgment when considering enterprise impacts of technical decisions.
Good communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, management and customers in geographically dispersed locations and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Previous experience of working in an Agile Development methodology.
