About the Role
Our Cairns based EarlyAQtion Kindi team have an opportunity for an experienced registered Teaching professional to join and collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to provide quality early years education & therapy support for children on the spectrum & their families.
The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for leading and coordinating quality early intervention group programs, addressing individualised support needs of children & families, and act as the main point of contact for families.
**Full-time position (1 day/week administration); part-time will also be considered

Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Education or Special Education (Early Childhood) & professional registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary methodologies in the provision of early intervention for children on the autism spectrum or other developmental challenges, and their families
Proven knowledge of child development, communication, social interaction, learning and understanding and managing behaviour
Understanding and experience in the design and implementation of direct (individual and/or group) and consultation-based support and intervention which is responsive to the individual needs of children, their families, and other relevant stakeholders
Special Conditions & Requirements
Evidence of current COVID-19 Vaccination
Blue Card Exemption & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (paid workers)**
Professional registration with QCT
Provide First Aid inc. Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
