Job Summary
Job Description Kafka Expert 1. JOB DESCRIPTION: KAFKA EXPERT Required skills: ¿ Developing Java Web applications with focus on building REST APIs connecting different databases. ¿ Strong experience in OOP language like Java is must. ¿ Knowledge in DevOps tools like Ansible and Terraform. ¿ Distributed Messaging and Integration Experience in Confluent Kafka environment Kafka Cluster Apache Zookeeper to provide inputs in designing. ¿ Experience in Confluent tools, Control center, data balancer, replicator security control REST Proxy MQTT proxy etc. ¿ Managing and deploying HBase and Kafka. ¿ Ability to work with huge volumes of data so as to derive Business Intelligence ¿ Analyze data, uncover information, derive insights and propose data driven strategies ¿ Knowledge of installing, configuring, maintaining and securing Hadoop ¿ Hands on experience in working with Hadoop Distribution Platforms like HortonWorks, Cloudera, MapR and others ¿ Knowledge of building Hadoop based services like Spark Streaming in Java, Kafka, Hive, Sqoop, Oozie ¿ In depth knowledge & experience with Hadoop ecosystem & architecture (including HDFS) ¿ Monitoring the above mentioned components in a production system via Ambari, Kibana and other tools ¿ An analytical bent of mind and ability to learn unlearn relearn ¿ Excellent Communication Skills to present his / her own ideas / concepts and solution to various stakeholders ¿ Setup best practices Standards Patterns Development and automate process for onboarding. ¿ Experience in a Unix /Linux environment for automating processes with shell scripting. ¿ Experience in working on Cloud platforms is desired and Azure Platform exposure. Roles & Responsibilities: ¿ Adherence to the agreed services as in Service Description ¿ 1st Escalation instance for service related issues ¿ Request for KPI Exemptions & Quality checks on weekly basis & ensure the KPIs are adhered by the team ¿ Ensure documentations (instruction manual, etc) are up to date ¿ Identify & contribute to continuous improvement process ¿ Provide technical support to 2nd level and 3rd level team ¿ Take up critical tasks when situation demands ¿ Adhere to company and project standards and guidelines. ¿ Pay high attention to detail in all work. ¿ Quality and on time delivery of agreed deliverables ¿ Thoroughly understand the Requirements and Design ¿ Where necessary, work on problem & change tickets as per the requirements and detailed design using the best practices and operation standards ¿ Escalate any risks and issues as and when they are identified, to the project / program management team ¿ Work diligently towards better relationship with the customer ¿ Ability to create instructions /operations manual and staying on the job until it is finished ¿ Willingness to be accountable, courtesy, reliability, flexibility, cooperation and adaptability. ¿ Take initiative, ability to take responsibility Level of experience: Overall experience 7 to 10 years with minimum of 5 years in required skills.
