Work during the unit’s standard business hours (9 AM to 4 PM eastern time) (7:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST)
Triage incoming support tickets (email) from both internal and external customers
Leverage automated workflows for common tickets and tasks
Determine urgency & deadline for all tickets
Alert security manager to potential security incidents
Verify and escalate reported application/system outages
Complete tier-1 tickets (definition different for each system)
Common examples: Add/remove users from Azure Active Directory groups, assist application users with password resets, investigate issues with user permissions
Escalate tier-2 and tier-3 tickets as needed
Tier 2 – Infrastructure & Security team
Tier 3 – Engineering
Coordinate with on-call Infrastructure & Security staff to ensure urgent issues are addressed ASAP
Monitor Infrastructure & Security Teams channel for incoming requests
Identify opportunities for further automation of tasks
Scope of tasks will grow as our environments grow in size and maturity
Opportunity for additional responsibilities may be available based on skills and knowledge demonstrated
Desired Skillset
1-2 years help desk experience
Knowledge of basic IT security principles
Good written and verbal English communication skills
