Job Description : Technical Writer
As a Technical Writer, you secure on-time-delivery of Technical Documentation working closely with the R&D team of Power Products Line of Business. You coordinate with internal and external resources to produce high quality print and online information to install, operate and configure our Low Voltage Products and Systems .
Your scope of duties
Analyzing requirements for Technical Documentation according to use cases and targeted audiences.
Creating user manuals, catalogues and other printed or digital Technical Documentation
Transforming technical input into readable, easy understandable content / topics with the right text and illustration mix for your target audience.
Creating the technical documentation in English
Collaborating closely with Offer Management, Offer Development, Project Management & Communications.
Planning & delivery of Technical Documentation, Technical videos, 3D Digital assets.
Ensuring quality, usability, safety compliance and corporate identity
Your profile
Bachelor degree in Technology/Engineering degree (preferably Electrical/Electronics).
Minimum 7 years of experience as a technical writer in global technology company
Ability to explain complex, technically demanding products in easily understandable language, illustrations
Ability to plan, manage and control several parallel projects, experience in Project Management
Works well in a dynamic environment and can able to engage many stakeholders based across different locations and different time zones
Ability to manage projects simultaneously ensuring on-time, on-quality, on-budget delivery
Experience using InDesign and XML-based editor: Arbortext Editor preferred
Fluency in English, strong writing skills in English
Strong communicating and coordination skills
Passionate about delivering high quality, customer-centric, easy-to-use technical documentation
Positive and open attitude, flexibility.
Collaborative working style, team-player
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Technology/Engineering degree (preferably Electrical/Electronics).
