Key Responsibilities

Participate in requirements gathering and sprint ceremonies. Recommend alternate approaches, define technical impacts
Develop product capabilities using WordPress and other technologies
Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support
Contribute to the development methodology
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of new product functionality.
Analyze and mitigate issues identified during testing
Collaborate on and inform cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation
Articulate development status to technical and non-technical audiences
Continually refine business acumen and establish domain / industry vertical expertise
Work closely with the marketing teams, including brand management, content, SEO, and UX to build front end experiences that meet the changing needs of our visitors and drive leads
To ensure understanding of the work, solution, and potential blockers in order to meet project goals
To ensure we have a clear vision on how feature requests will be solved and work with the business stakeholder to achieve sign off
Development efforts will follow best practices while working within the established agile SDLC to deliver the highest quality work on predictable intervals
To confirm quality of the work performed for the requested feature while ensuring connected systems also perform as expected. Issues found during testing will be logged, prioritized, and worked in priority order with the rest of the sprint’s work
To ensure work required by other teams or from other teams are understood, prioritized, and processed to achieve the project goals across multiple teams
To ensure stakeholders, both technical and not, understand the status of the project, updates, and any roadblocks that may prohibit the project from being successful
To establish subject matter expertise in the area of business in which you work. Establishing this knowledge builds trust with our partners and allows us to provide better guidance in the future
To build engaging customer sites that generate high quality leads for our business partners

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
5+ years’ experience WordPress design and development.
Proficiency on front end web technologies including WordPress, WordPress plug-ins, various analytic platforms, optimization technologies, and marketing automation technologies.
Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SASS, Bootstrap, and Vue.js.
Proficiency with fundamental back-end languages like PHP and MySQL.
Familiarity with modern development workflow, including Git and Docker.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work constructively with team members towards a common goal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Great at multi-tasking and delivering quality solutions under deadlines.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Natural affinity for website UX/UI and strong knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development.
Understands platforms upon which products and services operate.
Understands the importance of data flow, data integrity, and business process efficiency, as well as the potential role technology, could play to improve or enhance them
Sets goals, and develops strategies and plans for meeting those.
Is able to break down complex problems/ tasks into manageable parts, and allocates own time efficiently.
