We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Group Finance Data Architect.
In this role, you will:
Work with the lead Data Architect to provide technical and thought leadership, strategic thinking and architectural direction on data projects and studies within Finance IT
Help to implement the future state data architecture visions for Finance initiatives and create clear data architecture solution choices, to provide analysis on benefits/challenges
Provide Data Architecture support to Finance Projects supporting regulatory reporting
Aid in the creation and maintenance of the Finance Technology Reference Data Strategy, working closely with Finance Change and Operations teams
Support for identification of suitable Reference Data Management tooling within Finance IT
Help to define and communicate commercially aware architecture designs for data solutions in accordance to data design authority governance and CDO standards
Work closely with the project teams, CDO, DAO, FCD and other stakeholders to meet Data Management and Data Integrity Control objectives
Identify and seek opportunities to simplify, innovate, automate and improve Finance IT’s ability conform more easily to Data Controls (Data Modelling and DORA MVP and Roadmap)
Identify operational and delivery risks with a focus on Data
Help to provide governance on data architecture for the business domains under his/her responsibilities, data standards and target operating models for data activities. Put in place checks and balances on the products and features delivered by Finance IT Pods to ensure that they adhere to and complement Data Architecture standards and principles
Represent at key Group forums (Refinery working groups, GDDA, Data Management working groups, Polaris, Trusted Source Framework working groups etc)
Construct and maintain Data Models, including close working with DevOps pods to enable seamless implementation of the data model into Production
Ensure that data architecture results are compliant with the stated requirements, approved technologies, best practices and group strategies
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
University graduate of Computer Science/IT-related field, preferably with major in Software/System engineering or relevant working experience in the field
Banking experience
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation with good command of written and spoken English
Minimum four-year experience in defining strategic data architecture in the banking area, e.g., Investment management, Finance, Risk, etc
Familiar with legal hierarchy representation, product representation, external data feeds (e.g., D&B, Thomson Reuters, etc)
Experience in Data Modeling
Good technical background related to Big Data technologies (Spark, Hive, HBase, Hadoop, Kafka, Flume, Storm, NiFi, etc)
Good technical background related to Data Warehouse/RDBMS in one or more such technologies: Oracle, Teradata, DB2, MSSQL, MySQL
Good technical background related to cloud capabilities around the data and the associated services
Knowledge of design tool usage (e.g. EA, Archimate, IDA, Erwin, Visual Paradigm, etc.)
Knowledge of SDLC/Agile methods
Proactive, can-do and open way of work as a must
Knowledge of the MQ, ETL, API Management, Web Services
A good understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or others
