Responsibilities
Design and development of product packaging, including planning, execution and documentation. This is for existing, new and upgraded products as well when materials, machine or suppliers are changing.
Validation and qualification of packaging design and process including legal compliance of packaging materials.
Generation and alignment of Packaging process specifications in agreement with production sites and suppliers.
Attendance and supervision of production trials.
Taking pilot lots, optimization and validation of new & existing packaging material and process keeping HSE requirements in place.
Assist Product supply team in finding out right packaging source, Implement desired manufacturing process and inspection as per specification made at supplier end
Assist and work with marketing team creating artwork, deciding printing option and selection of right packaging materials. Approval of print run.
Qualifications
Education: B.Tech or PG in Packaging technology from IIP or equivalent Institute, with specialised skill in corrugated carton and flex packaging design and development.
Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Packaging design & process development in global operating consumer goods companies.
Corrugated carton and flex packaging materials and application.
Knowledge of Packaging Standard like ISTA, ISI, ASTM & ISO
Knowledge of Corel Draw, Illustrator and Photo -shop & AUTO CAD.
Costing and negotiation skill.
Skills in English (preferred: fluent in conversation, good understanding in reading+writing)
