Job Description : Faith Lutheran Learning Center (FLLC) is seeking an assistant pre-k teacher for immediate employment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent- Minimum of one year experience caring for/teaching children in a childcare or preschool setting- Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- More than one year of teaching experience- Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)- Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field- Experience with KY Early Learning StandardsPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: – Assist the lead teacher with lesson plans and assessments- Daily communication with families via brightwheel app- Partnership with families for the education of their child- Quality teacher-child interactions and conversations throughout the day; outside, inside, in large group, small group, and individual settings- Enriching students’ play-based learning- Supervising students for health and safetyHOURS & BENEFITS: – Hours to be determined based on the needs of the center, M-F, 35-40 hours per week- Medical insurance from Humana after 60-day introductory period- Leave time benefits after 60-day introductory period (vacation/sick/personal/parental)- Employer paid short-term disability and life insurance after 60-day introductory periodRetirement benefits (match up to 3% after 1 – year, immediate employee contributions, 100% vested)- Paid holidays (major holidays and the last week in Dec).- Paid professional development & school book reimbursementFLLC is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes diverse perspectives and experiences.
