Job Description : Job Purpose
As an Associate Principal – IT Operations you will be responsible for implementing and providing support of the company’s support of servers, applications and databases. You will focus on areas such as infrastructure design, data center operation, and administration plus r egular operations and maintenance of IT Infrastructure, Linux systems, backups and storages
What will you do?
Ensuring availability, scalability and accessibility of all IT infrastructure
Achieve maximum uptime by deploying advanced monitoring tools and techniques
Build efficient redundant infrastructure to ensure business continuity
Secure IT Environment for the organization based on standards based best practices
Target areas of improvement, track new technologies and help deciding technical roadmaps
Ready to participate as an ‘Individual Contributor’ and help/guide other team mebers from Linux/storage admin team
Ensure OS are patched on a regular basis, fix security vulnerabilities and upgrade administrative tools/utilities.
Ensuring continuous improvements, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
Manage Vendors and the service contract, ensure adherence to terms and conditions of contract
What do you need to know?
8 plus years of experience in Redhat Linux System Administration and Storage administration
Should have worked on AWS cloud
Experience in Redhat Satellite server
Good experience in EMC storage administration
Experience in NetApp storage
Experience in Veritas Netbackup
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (in computer science or engineering or a related subject)
