The Role Responsibilities
Strategy
As Lead, Data Sourcing the candidate should be responsible and align always to the quick sourcing of data into the EDMP data lake to assist the SCB Business to slice/dice the data or automating complex reporting required for the key decisions. Look for opportunities to tweak the sourcing flow so that data is available quicker without compromising existing Control checks.

Business
As a Lead, Data Sourcing the candidate should understand the wider picture of the data that is being used in the Bank for taking key decisions and accordingly work with both Upstream and downstream for data sourcing.

Processes
Should be responsible for the Data sourcing framework and ensure that there are no breach on the policies

People and Talent
As one of the leaders in the Data sourcing team, the candidate should take care of the following points –
Lead the team in the right way.
Self Train on the new technologies and ensure that all the members in the team are also trained.
Reduce the key dependency on any specific resources.
Regular reviews and on the spot feedback to yield better results from the team.
Balance the team in terms of work allocation and in terms of skill sets (Functional & Technical).

Risk Management
Identify the risks in the data sourcing framework and handle with appropriate controls & measures.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Lead the Data Sourcing team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Perform regulatory e.g. PRA/FCA prescribed responsibilities as applicable to Data Sourcing.
Exercise authorities delegated and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Key Stakeholders
Product Owner, Source Squad Leads, CIO teams.
Our Ideal Candidate
Total experience of 15 years of which 5 years in the Big Data Platforms.
Solid experience in data sourcing delivery with Big Data Platform using Hadoop, HIVE, HDFS, Nifi, Kafka, Hbase, Spark 3.0.
Experience in cloud migration or implementing data lake on Azure Cloud.
Should have manged teams and good people management skills.
Experience in delivering projects using Agile Methodology.
Solid understanding of data pipelines, ELT and ETL processing using LAMDA & Kappa Architectures (Batch, NRT and Steaming Pipelines).
Certification on Hadoop and/or Azure Cloud is desirable.
