Job Description : Summary and Qualifications:
The Azure Architect will handle the architecture and design of a global cloud native platform built on predominantly azure technologies. The architect will serve as a lead on large scale projects, including solutioning and documentation of infrastructure architecture. As an active member, the architect partners with other architects in the organization and mentors and helps dev leads, scrum teams and other cross functional teams during the life cycle of the platform.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure using industry best practices.
Design and implement continuous integration and delivery processes and tooling.
Design and implement application stack on Kubernetes.
Manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of infrastructure and application platform.
Build SRE team to manage the application platform based on industry best practices.
Design and implement zero trust infrastructure on Azure.
Build and manage a team of highly talented Azure infrastructure and application experts.
Develop SOPs and runbooks to ensure that the team members have the needed skills and tools to support production systems.
Manage provisioning of environments in the SDLC and associated costing
Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, and move) up to 50 pounds. Lifting heavier weights requires requesting assistance from another associate.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision.
Occasionally exposed to airborne particles and illness from patients and chemicals related to animal care and office equipment.
The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
Environment where pets are present.
Light travel may be required for this position.

Experience, Education and/or Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
12 or more years of experience in an application development background or an infrastructure management background are required.
Microsoft Azure Certification, specifically AZ303 and AZ304, is required.
Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer is required.
Expertise in infrastructure as code, such as terraform, is preferred.
Expertise in Hub and Spoke network topology is preferred.
Knowledge in NVA, such as Palo Alto, is preferred.
Expertise in site reliability best practices and implementing site reliability dashboards with SLI/SLO/SLA is preferred.
Experience working with Enterprise Security and implementing best practices is preferred.
Ability to act as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices with Infrastructure as Code, Infrastructure Automation, Application Scalability is preferred.
Expertise in managing web-based systems with HA/DR deployments across the globe is preferred.
Experience provisioning and managing Cosmos DB, Azure data lake, Databricks, AKS, Storage accounts, Event hubs, Azure API management, Key vault, private links, Azure App config, Redis, Azure search service, etc.is preferred.
Certified Kubernetes administrator or Certified Kubernetes application developer certification is preferred.
Experience with IAM policies and IDP is preferred.
Experience with CDN/WAF, such as Cloudflare and/or Azure front door, is preferred.
Experience with Azure landing zone implementation is preferred.
