Job Description : Our client is currently developing and exciting and interactive real estate engine, already aimed at becoming the most reliable online real estate platform across the Middle East. Due to some exciting expansion, they’re now looking for a Backend Developer to help with the design and creating of their scalable software and mobile app.
As a Backend Developer, you will also be responsible for:
Playing an active role in the entire application lifecycle with a focus on coding and debugging
Writing clean, efficient code to develop functional software applications
Working closely with a Full Stack Development team using the latest technologies – Java, Python, JavaScript for example
Troubleshooting applications and debugging
Gathering technical and functional requirements from the business
Providing training and support to junior members of the team
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
Working closely with developers and designers, as well as system administrators to identify new application features
As a Backend Developer, you should have the following skills/ experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 3 years’ experience working as a Backend Engineer
Hands-on experience with languages like Java/ JavaScript/ Python
Must be very familiar with HTML/ CSS
Must have had hands-on experience with databases SQL/ MySQL / NoSQL. Added advantage if you have had exposure to Kafka/ messaging systems
Must have had some frontend experience and with JavaScript
Must have had some exposure to UI and server-side logic
In-depth knowledge of design principles, user interfaces and web standards
Must have excellent analytical skills
Ability to work towards tight deadlines and within a high-performing team
