AJ Chambers is working on an exciting opportunity with an award-winning, Top 50 accountancy practice who are looking for an experience bookkeeper to join their London team.
What’s in it for you?
This role will offer you flexible working, you will be able to work remotely for the majority of your time with the firm, but will be required to visit client’s premises in London. You will be offered a competitive salary, life insurance and private medical.
What will you be doing?
You will be inputting and reviewing data. You will be reviewing and maintaining sales, purchase and general ledgers. You will post and review month end journals whilst adhering to proper accounting standards. You will also complete and review VAT returns. You will maintain a full and accurate audit trail by filing and referencing documents . You will also be required to travel to and work from client sites if required. You would also be preparing and reviewing management accounts from information and documentation received from clients, ensuring that all relevant deadlines are met. In addition you will need to develop and maintain good client relations and be involved in the training and supporting more junior members of staff and clients.
What will be required of you?
You will need excellent verbal and written communication, the ability to work as part of a team and independently, previous proven bookkeeping experience in an office environment. You will need to be numerate and analytical and have evidence of being a proactive and a self-starter who can manage changing priorities in a demanding environment. You also will need intermediate/advanced Excel, Xero, Sage 50 knowledge.
