Job Description
To ensure that Visa’s payment technology is truly available to everyone, everywhere requires the success of our key bank or merchant partners and internal business units. The Global Data Science group supports these partners by using our extraordinarily rich data set that spans more than 3 billion cards globally and captures more than 100 billion transactions in a single year. Our focus lies on building creative solutions that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners. We work in complementary teams comprising members from Data Science and various groups at Visa. To support our rapidly growing group we are looking for BI engineers who are equally passionate about the opportunity to use Visa’s rich data to tackle meaningful business problems.
This position will be part of VCA (Visa Consulting & Analytics) function in building and maintaining global visualization assets, BI dashboards and reporting solutions. We are looking for expertise in designing and building such solutions from large-scale big data processing systems by using the latest BI technologies and techniques. The position is based at Visa’s offices in Bangalore, India.
Essential Functions
Exposure working with Global teams & Fortune 500 companies and possess strong experience working directly in client facing roles.
Partner with business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI’s, automated reporting/process solutions to meet business needs.
Act as a Data Analyst transforming client requirement documents into business requirement documents, creating wireframes for dashboards/reports and collaborate with stakeholders for necessary approvals.
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into an actionable format.
Design, develop, maintain, and improve scalable, automated, user-friendly BI solutions.
Build BI applications that cater to multiple stakeholders across different countries by centralized and easy to make configuration changes.
Publishing workbooks with different User Filters to BI Server and managing Schedules, Permissions and Authorization.
Ability to de-bug issues, tune queries for better performance and create necessary documentation as necessary.
Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
Develop test cases and bring in automation to execute and validate the same across multiple reports with limited manual intervention.
Create repeatable assets that can be used to build the BI applications at large scale with faster time to market
Build solutions in an Agile methodology, contribute to sprint planning, creating user stories, story pointing, task creation and give sprint demos at the end of the sprint.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate technical insights and recommendations with business customers and leadership team.
Contribute to the Group Business Intelligence Center of Excellence in creating metadata driven frameworks to create and test reporting applications, documents, etc.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Math/Statistics/Engineering/Computer Science or related field.4+ years’ experience as a Business Intelligence Developer/Engineer with Tableau Business Intelligence tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience using advanced features of Tableau Desktop like Clustering, Level of detail expressions, Parameters, Sets, Grouping, Forecasting, viz in Tool tip, Data blending, etc. for complex use cases.
Strong experience with Visualization Tools like Power BI, D3 and exposure to code version control systems (git).Advanced experience in writing and optimizing efficient SQL queries with Python, Hive, Scala handling Large Data Sets in Big-Data Environments.
Experience with complex, high volume, multi-dimensional data, as well as machine learning models.Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources.Experience working in a high-tech environment, comfortable navigating conflicting priorities and ambiguous problems.Understanding of machine learning algorithms such as Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Time Series forecasting, etc.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers.
