Your Role and Responsibilities
Collaborate with architects for defining and validating the architecture and the software design of the components for the platform.
Design and implement components and features using REST APIs for the services with pre-defined format (input and output) and implement the processing of the API related data.
Write unit tests and work with QA engineers for defining end-to-end test cases and helping with the automated testing for the system.
Collaborate with product managers and business analysts for understanding, refining, and estimating the functional requirements of the system captured in user stories.
Collaborate with the UX team for understanding and refining the UI visual design and the user experience of the features built.
Collaborate with all the team members by using an agile process with related practices and tools.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience working in one of the Hyperscale / cloud provider data platform (AWS, GCP Azure, IBM)
Proficiency in at least one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Java, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl, Go
Knowledge on Machine learning concepts and algorithms.
Prior experience as a technical lead or architect
A deep understanding of distributed systems
Production development experience in Go at a similar size and scale
Ability to leverage multiple programming languages to build production systems
Knowledge of virtualization concepts and application
Passion for providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and demonstrate empathy with key stakeholders
Love writing and improving code with an emphasis on testing and maintainability
Work well in a small team and able to balance and prioritize projects and requests
A positive energy and passion for delighting customers
Demonstrated ability to work at multiple levels of the stack in a fast-paced startup like environment
Working knowledge of microservices using Docker and Kubernetes
Prior experience in document search stores like Elasticsearch and Timeseries DB like Influx DB
Prior experience with open-source data management tools like Logstash, Fluent, Nifi, Airflow, Arrow, Flink, Druid, etc
Experience working in one of the Hyperscale / cloud provider data platforms (AWS, GCP Azure, IBM) working knowledge on cloud SDK
Familiarity with IT data and domain is desired, this includes Observability, AIOps, SRE, ITIL, Monitoring, etc
Familiarity with prevalent message bus and queuing technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
A strong background and exposure to databases, including both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2) and NoSQL (Redis, Cassandra, MongoDB) database systems
Familiarity with Realtime streaming and processing of various data sources, including logs, time series telemetry data, unstructured social data and relational data
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Familiarity with CI/CD processesEnterprise Containerization technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift etc.
