Main Purpose of your Role
The M olecular Interactions Analyst is responsible for analyzing and indexing premium quality scientific information on Molecular Interactions in our S ystems B iology databases . This person should be able to use her/his expertise to interpret different sources of biological information and enter the relevant data into the database according to Editorial standards .

Key responsibilities
Deep analysis of the scientific literature to index molecular interactions and cellular mechanisms of normal and pathological processes.
Uses scientific expertise to ensure that the information is properly presented and organized following Editorial policies in our S ystems B iology database .
Adheres to Content publishing schedules and quality standards.
Maintains and develops scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to the employee’s editorial responsibilities.
Takes initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues.
Education/ experience/qualifications
Degree in Biology, Life Sciences or Medicine .
MSc and/ or Post-graduate laboratory research experience in Molecular Biology/Cell Biology would be highly desirable .
Strong background in cellular and molecular biology processes, with basic knowledge in human pathology.
Experience with pathway and network analyses is advantageous.
Proficient in English.
Skills & Competencies
Good scientific research and analytical skills , with attention to detail.
Used to work paying attention to detail, with high ability to interpret and explain large amount of data.
Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills .
E xperience in databases and relationship models is advantageous .
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of diverse collaborators.
General computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools .
