Job Description : Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting an exciting opportunity to join the team of our rapidly growing client based in Wallingford as a Corporate Accountant. The Corporate Accountant will receive a salary of up to £40,000 along with attractive benefits including study support and a hybrid working from home system! This is a dynamic organisation, and the role would best suit a progressive individual who is looking for a new challenge in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be part qualified (AAT qualified also considered).
The main responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant include;
Assist in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy, includingReview of bank, AP and AR account reconciliations, and support in the correction of any errorsPreparation of analytical review, and variance analysisManagement and reconciliation intercompany recharges
Manage and improve the inter-company transactions process with a focus on month-end reconciliation; address and resolve variancesAssist with the statutory external audit process for legal entities within areas of our responsibilitySupport the payroll team in all aspects of payroll including monthly payroll processing, external and internal reporting, HMRC filings, pensions, and payroll queriesManage the day to day relationship with our bank and drive the resolution of banking issues for all the business units within the UKOverseas the banking and insurance integration for all new acquisitions
Ensure all relevant companies house filings are complete and submitted in a timely manner
Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
Key experience and attributes of the Corporate Accountant include;
Part qualified or AAT qualifiedMentoring and delegation skillsStrong commercial acumen and financial analysis skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong excel skills are necessary as well as experience of Microsoft Office programsStrong problem-solving skills
Solution-focused, with ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasksStrong analytical skills, with a good command of detailPeople oriented with excellent client facing skills
