As a trusted and empowered member of the CISOs staff, you will go out into the organization and identify opportunities for security improvement and organize change. You will oversee efforts that push the enhancement of organizational and engineering security controls and processes. You will assure the achievement of important outcomes through these efforts.

Your role as part of the Cyber Risk team will be to build relationships, understand technology stacks, designs, and review processes in support of the risk management practices at Datto. The role will assist in the development, implementation, and management of Datto’s Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) based program. Fundamentals of the role include:

Development of loss event scenarios across product and business areas
Data acquisition, estimation, and model development
Conducting simulations and collaboration on mitigation strategies
Partner with stakeholders and leadership to achieve successful risk reduction
Continually monitor mitigation activities to help close active risks
Internal socialization of Datto’s quantitative/FAIR based program

Required Skills:

Proven cyber risk quantification and/or risk management experience
Experience with risk quantification models: Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) or risk quantification platforms including RiskLens
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to decompose complex systems and problems
Excellent ability to communicate complex subjects effectively, especially at the executive level
Experience designing, implementing and managing security controls and processes

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT work experience
Former experience in one or more areas: Security Assurance, Security Operations, Security Architecture, Threat Modeling
Python or R experience
One or more certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM, FAIR
Ability to script/code in support of objectives
