An exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst who has experience supporting applications, infrastructure, and networks with demonstrated experience using security tools such as SIEM, WAF etc. and a good working knowledge of cyber security threats and preventative technologies and techniques. You are familiar with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks such as IS027000, COBIT, NIST. You will play an integral part in building a strong security risk-aware culture, delivering great outcomes for our customers and growing your career rapidly as a Cyber Security Professional.
What you’re going to be doing:
While you should be able to work across all aspects of the Digital Bank (including deposit, and lending products) your primary focus will include:
Perform a range of systems security related activities including proactive monitoring, reactive support, and documentation of security incidents.
Analyse security breaches and other security related incidents to identify root causes and ensure systems changes are identified and assessed while escalating potential breaches.
Investigate non-compliant systems, recommend remediation steps, and support remediation activities
Apply threat intelligence and other information sources to identify events/risks relevant to the business and integrate this into existing security processes for targeted remediation.
Coordinate incident response functions across the organisation and work with stakeholders to contain, manage and remediate incidents
Develop security incident playbooks, incident response tools, techniques, and procedures, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities.
Continually review and improve the security function by identifying possible improvements, identifying new techniques, and developing automation to mitigate security risks and incidents efficiently.
Contribute to various projects and support the Head of Security in the delivery of the cybersecurity roadmap in accordance with timeframes and budget.
Producing metrics reporting the state of security posture.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and relevant APRA Prudential Standards
Ensure preparedness for future regulatory developments.
What you’ll bring with you:
Ideally 1-2 years relevant experience in security, preferably in threat hunting or SOC environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology or other related field.
Experience with and knowledge of security principles, techniques, technologies, threat modelling and vulnerability assessment.
Experience using security tools such as Incident Response tools, Intrusion Protection Systems, Network Access Control, SIEM etc.
Preferred relevant security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, Security+, CEH, OSCP etc).
Experience or familiarity with Azure and AWS security stack such as Microsoft Cloud App, Microsoft 365 Defender & Information Protection, Amazon WAF, Guard Duty, Shield configuration, CloudFront, SSE-C etc.
Written, verbal and presentation communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment handling multiple priorities.
Relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners.
Documentation, planning, negotiation, work prioritisation and organisational skills.
