Position :
Job Description : Data Engineer is responsible for eliciting requirements and designing/coding Big Data warehouse systems, using the latest technology approaches. Support the application’s BAU and DEV/OPS processes and activities.
Candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a demanding multi-project, multi-team environment.
The successful candidate will have expertize on OOPS and design patterns.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and testing mission critical applications using Core Java and Java EE
Expert hands-on Python knowledge
Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop/HDFS/Hive/Hbase/Impala/Spark & ETL tool integration experience with Hadoop file system desired
Should have experience in one or more of Spring boot, Micro Services, Kafka, Cassandra & API development is preferred
In-depth knowledge of multiple RDBMS, warehouse systems
Develop and communicate best practices and coding standards ensuring adherence to sound OOPS and Java/J2EE standards
Expert scripting knowledge (SQL/Shell/Perl)
Good to have knowledge on Agile programming techniques such as test driven development, spec by example, Scrum and Kanban
Good to have experience with large multi-terabyte, warehouse systems.
Strong experience with advanced design strategies and optimization techniques
Self-starter, able to work in fast paced agile development environment.
Communication skills to collaborate effectively across development teams.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a relevant field
