Job Description : Mastercard Commercial Solutions – is looking for a Lead Development Engineer who is skilled in Data modelling, understanding of data structures and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delighting customers with outcomes powered by the creation of new services and applications.

Role

This is a Lead Developer role for a project that is establishing new technology stack that utilizes Java, spring, hibernate, websphere MQ on a service oriented architecture. Person in this position is expected to be dynamic, willing to learn and implement new technology and development methods.

Participate in designing, developing, implementing and debugging medium/large and complex applications
Integrating complex legacy data systems into next-generation application platforms
Analyzing and improving performance of existing platforms
Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers
Implement new technologies, policies and practices that help increase resiliency, automation and improve platform health
Proactively monitor with advanced troubleshooting skills for database issues escalated by the business team and internal monitoring in a timely manner with strong skills to drive to root cause and remediation of issues.
Identifying technology gaps and help business build and deliver viable solutions

All About You

Track record of designing and maintaining medium to large, complex, highly-scalable, highly-available, fault-tolerant, secure, near real-time data systems on High available architecture
Demonstrated experience with data integration channels, data cloud-migration and data replication technologies
Extensive experience with data modelling and relational database administration with multiple vendors, such as Oracle (preferred), PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS-SQL
Strength in advanced performance and tuning skills with the ability to identify, respond and resolve database performance issues
Experience with any ETL, ODS tool and messaging/eventing systems (will be an added advantage ???)
Experience in validating, customizing, and executing database schema updates, version uplift and transformation scripts, rollbacks, etc.
Broad knowledge of data security (roles, privileges, authentication, etc), encryption, GDPR, alerting, and monitoring
Familiarity with any ETL and ODS tools: Informatica, Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik will be a bonus
Familiar with Non-relational Database tools such as MongoDB, CouchDB, Domino
Ability to influence Mastercard best practices in planning, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining database solutions.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desire to stay abreast of new development tools and methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of PCI, PII and other financial security requirements will be preferred
