How will you make an impact?
Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers’ individual needs
Learn and use groundbreaking technologies
Ability to construct new reports, dashboards to capture metrics for Operational and Business users
Work directly with Amazon Web Service architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
Ability to automate processes and procedures for new database environments
Leverage your extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to our business users
What will you do?
The Cloud Database Engineer responsibility will include design, development and implementation of scalable Cloud services.
The Cloud Database Engineer will also serve as a technical resource on development and infrastructure to assist in application and infrastructure automation and application migration to the Cloud.
Work closely with Database Engineers, Operations and Architects along with System and Networking Engineering’s.
Ability to demonstrate performance Oracle and other DBMS environments.
Demonstrate proficiency in the design, installation, and deployment of complex database environments.
An overall knowledge of information technology and an ability to resolve complex problems and proactively provide solutions is expected.
This role should have a strong focus on promoting automation and DevOps best practices along with infrastructure, application and security monitoring.

Education
BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field of study, or equivalent experience
Experience
5+ Years of professional experience in a dynamic environment with a primary focus within Cloud services.
Experience with Oracle 19c/18c Grid Control and Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle, MySQL, Redshift, DynamoDB, Postgres, Hadoop, Java, SQL, Python, Unix, Linux, Hana
Experience with both RAC, DG and active / passive database clusters is a plus.
SQL Server Tuning
Golden Gate Replication configurations and troubleshooting.
Oracle Exadata and Data guard knowledge is an added advantage
Backup and recovery using RMAN
Operational and technical documentation
Expertise in Amazon Web Services with building and deploying using various cloud applications to automate business processes.
Expertise with building, deploying and supporting cloud databases in Amazon Web Services not limited to: Aurora, RedShift, RDS, Data Lakes.
Database Security
Database client installation and configuration
Scripting, system configuration and management
OS contention issue analysis and resolution
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Candidates must possess good analytical skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment and independently.
