Standard Chartered Information Technology & Operations (ITO) is looking for individuals interested in using innovative new products and modern technologies to deliver world class digital experiences for our clients and customers.
The Retail, Private Banking and Wealth Management ITO is accelerating transformation of agile banking services with DevOps and Agile practices, with an aim towards efficiency, automation, and improved transparency Delivery Sprint Teams will be at the core of delivering this agenda.
Delivery Sprint Teams will build and integrate components of the DevOps pipeline to deliver new banking capabilities, as well as refactoring of existing applications. Sprint teams will all be experienced programmers, operations people and product owners who can develop and drive their capability development end-to-end. Breadth across both programming and system operations is required of all candidates and depth must be demonstrated in their specialization; this is a cross-functional team with cross over between development and operations with business.
Job Description
We are seeking talented and motivated individuals for the role of Agile Developer. Successful candidates will be experienced test engineer who can develop test strategy, identify test scenarios, develop test cases, prepare all possible combination of test data, execute test cases in an environment with constant collaborative discussions. They will be matured individuals who are comfortable working in an agile environment with critical peer reviews. They must be able to offer constructive critical reviews of other’s test artefacts. They must be able to collaboratively work with product owners to develop test cases. They will be able to research, trial, and recommend new technologies of interest to the group which will improve the overall quality of test output. They will have experience with different types of testing such as automation testing, performance testing, regression testing, connectivity testing, etc.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of the functionalities, the dependency with downstream systems and to the business
Prepare the test plan, test data, test scenarios and test cases
Review regression test cases and add new test cases to the regression testing pack
Perform connectivity testing with all downstream systems
Develop automation test scripts and create stubs using CA Lisa based on Service Vistualization
Execute the automation test scripts
Should be able to write simple and complex queries in Oracle
Provide required test support to development teams and to the downstream systems
Should able to adopt to new technologies and able to collaborate easily with across the team for success of the project
Proactively use git and DevOps pipeline for build and deploy to ensure smooth migration, code review & merge process
Able to investigate automation script issues related to versions, dependency, compatibility, responsiveness apart from code logic
Work in an agile environment to define, manage, and prioritize workload

Qualifications and Skills

[Software development understanding or experience within a HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript (es6),Ember,ReactJS,Cordova,Gulp / Grunt, JQuery, ,bootstrap, compass, Browserstack, handlebars, Sass, Google Android ,iOS development ]
Nice to have Spring boot, RESTFUL, RDBMS, Objective C for Ios development ,Java for Android Development,Ruby
Advocate delivery excellence, minimising delivery risk.
Agile development of banking services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile development.
Conduct continuous development and/or integration & testing.

People and Talent
4+ years of software design and development experience
Solid experience in Ember.js or React.js or both or iOS or Android development
Solid experience in mobile app development in an Agile environment
Prior experience working in an agile environment, continuous integration & testing.
Knowledge in Cucumber, Ruby and any software test automation tools is add on
Experience in delivering software in a regulated environment, ideally financial services based to high quality.
Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
Strong communication and written skills, ability to communicate your ideas with others.
Be flexible with changing priorities and multi-tasking.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant.
