SUMMARY
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is an Open, Industry Standard Platform-as-a-Service offering from SAP. Built on Cloud Foundry and K8S, it is a platform of choice to extend, integrate and build innovative cloud native applications at SAP
SAP BTP Core Backing Services unit provides the multi-cloud foundation for SAP BTP and a layer of abstraction for all applications to run on both public clouds [AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud] and private cloud. Technical Services around data management, platform services, etc. forms the key portfolio of the unit.
THE ROLE
As a manager at the SAP BTP unit, you will be responsible for the teams working on Core Technical Backing Services – providing multi-cloud managed hyperscale services like:
Object Store as a ServiceDatabase (PostgreSQL) as a ServiceCaching (Redis) as a Service
Technology Stack:
Languages – Java, NodeJS, Go, Python, ShellContainer – Docker, K8SOS – LinuxIaaS – AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, Private Cloud
You will be part of our team and take over the following tasks:
People management responsibility for the scrum teams, support development and improvement of teams and career development of individual team members.Foster an agile development environment built on feedback, commitment and trust.Working with our unit provides you an opportunity to learn, design, architect and develop cloud native, large scale, distributed, resilient, scalable services using cutting edge technology and open-source components on the cloud platform.Driving functional clarity on backlogs for the team, to work along with product owners and architects.Align on strategic objectives within organization and ensure its understanding and implementation.Responsible for end-to-end delivery of product backlog by team – with good quality and in time.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
12 to 18 years of industry experience with prior leadership experience in management or product owner responsibilityExcellent Masters or Bachelor’ s Computer Science degree in Engineering or TechnologyProven communication and interpersonal skills, working with teams across organizational and geographical boundariesSound understanding of cloud native architecture & development
