Job Description : An independently owned manufacturing company in Merthyr Tydfil are recruiting for a Finance Manager.The company provide specialist products for use in the construction sector, both for commercial and residential projects. Reporting a company Director, this is the ‘Number 1 onsite’ and will be an essential appointment to build a ‘value-add’ Finance department.Finance Manager dutiesManaging and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting and reforecast processes.Providing back office services such as accounts payable, collection and payroll.Monitoring cash flow.Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactionsOversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountantsContract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company.Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.Finance Manager person specificationSuitably experienced in a senior finance role for an SME business.Comfortable reporting into Director level.Keen eye for detail amongst data and figures.Patience and empathetic.Leading a team and having ultimate ownership of the performance of the Finance team.If this role is not quite right for you but you know someone who might be suitable, be sure to make use of our Candidate Referral Scheme.Bowen Eldridge Recruitment is acting as Finance Recruitment Agency.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £33,000.00-£37,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridayNo weekends
