Our Story: Built for the humans of data, by the humans of data
At Atlan, we started as a data team ourselves tackling problems like national-level healthcare and poverty alleviation with data science (TED talk; Case Studies)
The problem: That’s how we learned how tough it was to scale data teams. Data teams are the most interdisciplinary teams ever created: Analysts, Scientists, Engineers, Business; Diverse people with their own tooling preferences and skillsets and “DNA” that need to come together and collaborate effectively. Leading to collaboration chaos.
We would be awoken with crisis calls every second day for the minutest of issues – from troubleshooting why the number on a dashboard is incorrect to getting access to the right dataset! Atlan started as us building small tools to make our own data team more agile.
Over a couple of years, we made our team 6X more agile and went on to do amazing things like build India’s National Data Platform used by its Prime Minister. (data for 500M citizens, built by an 8 member team, fastest project of its kind to go live — in 12 months instead of projected 3 years)

What will you do?
Own and develop the Intelligence Engine at Atlan which is responsible for distilling high-quality intelligence from customers (voice of customer), market, and competition. You will translate them into actionable force-multiplier insights that we can leverage across the company (Marketing, Sales, rest of the GTM org, Product ++)
Develop and own enablement across the GTM team with the intelligence engine and make us more agile.
Collaborate with leaders across the org to conceptualize, design and implement scalable processes for better insights dissemination (across GTM, Customer Success & Support, Product, etc.) to make Atlan the “fastest learning organization” in the world.
Use an intelligence-driven approach to help shape Atlan’s GTM growth strategy and priorities.
What makes you a great match for us?
You have 2-4 years of experience working in a management/strategy consultant role or strategic roles at B2B/enterprise startups.
You have a founder-mindset and understand what it takes to help build an organization. You do not wait for instructions and guidelines but instead, believe in taking end-to-end ownership of things.
You enjoy take an analytical approach, and going deep on hard problems. You pride yourself on high standards in your craft. You ask “why” until you hit the root cause.
You are infinitely curious about data and software markets, products, and business.
You find yourself geeking out over blogs from First Round, a16z, etc.
You are excited to learn new things and do not shy away from going above and beyond the traditional growth paths. You are looking for exponential growth, a lot of learning and a great team to work with.
