IFC’s Communications and Outreach department (CCO) is seeking a Communications and External Affairs intern as part of our Global Internship Program (GIP). The GIP offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to the mission and work of IFC and the broader World Bank Group and become part of the largest private sector development institution in the world. The program encourages individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas to IFC’s work, while improving skills in a diverse and highly stimulating environment. Moreover, the GIP provides a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and network with international professionals dedicated to ending extreme poverty and boosting prosperity in the developing world.

Duties and Accountabilities:
Assist in strategic planning and dissemination of social media content by conceptualizing at least 1 long-term social media campaign.Create social media ad templates for A/B testingReach out to key influencers for campaign promotionHelp design promotional assets for social media, video and audio editing skills preferred.Collate information for regional website update.Support internal communications by contributing to internal regional stories, assist in monthly regional newsletter production, and interview Next Gen staff in the region.
Selection CriteriaCandidates must be currently enrolled in a Masters’ degree level program with expected graduation date after December 1st, 2022 in order to be eligible.Field of study in Journalism or Communications, preferably.At least 3 years of previous work experience in digital marketing (especially, in graphic design), desired.
