Purpose of the Job Role:
As an Architect for Data Analytics, you will Join our highly regarded Architecture team and will be accountable for implementing and maintaining analytics solutions and architectures that are in-line with the organization’s overall strategy in the area of Data, Analytics and AI.
We are looking for one experienced, dedicated, result oriented ICT Architect, with great leadership and deep knowledge of Data warehousing, data architectures, cloud technologies, who can both drive and engage in Technology PoCs/Studies that are relevant to Stakeholders using our portfolio services. The selected candidate will also join the team of GDA (Group Data Analytics) Architects for the Data Collection and Analytics with additional responsibilities of architecture governance.
The role will also expect an individual to lead the implementation, delivery and support of the solutions in the applicable area in turn leading multiple teams of developers working on those respective portfolios or solutions.
The ICT Architect role requires both leading and developing prototypes within the technology area of Data Collection, Analytics, and Machine Learning. This position will require engagement and work with data pipeline and data strategy activities across Ericsson. The possibility to further develop knowledge in ML/AI arena is very much desired, though not mandatory which is needed in order to bring these technologies into use within the respective portfolios and solutions.
The position requires driving and engaging in Technology activities across multiple programs within the Group Data Analytics and Ericsson.
As the ICT architect role requires the ability to lead and engage with multiple disciplines – Lead/FA architects, developers, technology specialists, Data scientists, SPMs, project managers, etc. High communication skills are required for effective collaboration as well as to be able to present to executive levels for value propositions and input for Business/Product Decisions where applicable.
Your technology leadership must be validated by at least five years in the position of Solution architect (or similar roles), senior developer, or senior technology specialist title or higher.
This is a hands-on systems architecture position which will require you to identify our business and technology challenges and assume high overall accountability through the delivery of strategic technology solutions.
What you will do
Strategic, Tactical and Operational:
Facilitate requirement analysis with Stakeholders for Data Collection, Analytics, & Machine Learning Requirements
Work with Digital Product Owner to ensure understanding of business requirements in Data Management for the respective functional area
Identify and propose new opportunities for data services
Define characteristics for wanted scale, redundancy, distribution, protection, etc. criteria for different types of data services
Responsible for technical solutions in the context of Data Collections, Analytics, & Machine Learning ensuring alignment of data services architecture and architectural principles and to business needs
Work with Developers and other FA Architects for multi-functional data requirements
Support with technical lead scrum teams during development.
Define and design appropriate interfaces for data update, retrieval queries and recommended workflows based on specific data use case
Accountable for technical documents when needed, e.g. FA or solution level architecture descriptions, SOD (Solution Overview Document), Design Specs.
Support definition of future strategic direction of the Data Collection, Analytics, Architecture recommending (internal or sourced) technologies and solutions
Ensure consistency to development guidelines and processes by development teams for respective solutions/portfolios.
Lead prototype activities and technology specialists anticipating features/services to evolve
Driving & Contributing to relevant study/PoC activities for backlog items – End2End responsible for the study results for initiatives driven for respective area, including value propositions
Identifying work & needed competence & efforts for the respective study/activities for the area, including defining next steps for results
Engaging/Coaching the development team
Drive and/or Engage in initiatives prioritized by Leadership for PoC/study or implementation relevant to the Data Management Area
Provide Technical guidance/support and inputs to Platform teams for Capacity Management
Identifying the technology trends, innovative trends that have potential impact on the portfolios responsible for as well as on the Group overall.
Aware of the initiatives within the industry for the technology area and understanding the key competitive products within the technology area
Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration Skills
You will bring
CORE proficiencies
Strong prior experience in Data Warehousing and BI, irrespective of technology.
Knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and approaches. TOGAF certification desired, though not mandatory.
Master data management technologies, mapping requirements into technical descriptions, overseeing the development and delivery of functions & solutions for data services
Strong hands-on prior experience as BI/ETL developer.
Knowledge in establishing methods and procedures for supervising data sources, data lineage, data quality, completeness, duplication vs. replication, data dictionary, data models, metadata and master data
Knowledge of database design principles and data administration standards,
Knowledge of multiple database platforms and design and support tools, including hands-on experience with at least one database platform
Solid understanding of data governance frameworks
Good business and market understanding and capable of seeing the big picture. Business Understanding and Requirements Analysis
Possess Good Accountability & Ownership qualities.

Preferred qualification and experience requirements
Education / Experience Required (In Years)
We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of experience as Data Architect, Solution Architect who has attained a Graduate degree (B.E/ BTech/Mtech ) in Computer Science and Information Systems or another quantitative field.
Software/tools:
Any of the experiences and skills listed below is a merit, the more the better, but not all of them are required
Cloud Agnostic Data Platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud
Cloud Native Data Platforms (Azure Synapse Analytics, Amazon Redshift)
Azure services – Azure Data factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB)
Designing data products
Publishing data using data marketplace platform
Authorization methods including Role Based Access Control and Policy Based Access Control.
Data mesh implementation and federated model for data product development
Relational Data Modeling with 3NF and Data Vault in Analytics
Data ingestion and provisioning over APIs
Batch and streaming processing (for instance Apache Spark, Storm) and relevant back-end languages such as Python and SQL
Modern analytics architectures including cloud native, microservices architecture, virtualization, Kubernetes and containerization
Messaging, (for instance Apache Kafka)
NoSQL DBs, like Cassandra and MongoDB
RDBMS such Oracle, MS SQL, MariaDB or PostGRE, both row based and columnar based
Software Development including Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, Testing and Configuration Management, GIT/Gerrit
Experience with ETL tools (Talend, Informatica, BODS etc.)
Big Data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig, MAPR or Enterprise data warehousing initiatives
ElasticSearch (ELK stack)
BI Tools Such as Tableau, PowerBI, and also web-based dashboards and solutions
