Role Description
Role Description: Sr. Software Developer – 3B – Informatica Developer

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology developer with experience in developing scalable applications and platforms. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. The person should be a self-motivated person with a passion for problem solving and continuous learning.

Role and responsibilities

Should be able understand the requirements and implement it
Follow the software life cycle process
Have good communication skil
Understands the process flow and the impact on the project module outcome.
Works on simple coding assignments for specific technologies basis the project requirements and documentation available, under the guidance of senior team members
Debugs basic software components and identifies code defects.
Focusses on building depth in project specific technologies.
Expected to develop domain knowledge along with technical skills.
Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.
A proven high-performer and team-player, with the ability to take the lead on projects.

Technical skills requirements

The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,

8 years of experience with Data warehousing knowledge, installation, upgrade, administer, analyze and design ETL solutions using Informatica BDM, PC & TDM
Experience in incremental emergency bug fix to fix any product issues and follow up with informatica support for any issues
Maintain security administration natively or via active directory support
Assist developers in debugging logs that are scattered on native, bdm, yarn, spark or blaze environment.
Experience in trouble shooting issues and resolving them in efficient manner that minimizes downtime to follow up with informatica support
As part of migrating code ensure about process and knowledge on Service Now and Jira is mandatory
Understanding different commandline options pmcmd, pmrep and infacmd which will help automate the daily loads.
Knowledge on RDBMS is mandatory
Should be familiar using sqoop arguments which is required to source data from any traditional database systems into Hadoop
Knowledge on Snowflake or any Cloud platform would be an added advantage
Should be familiar with install/upgrade process for the BDM and their association with different applications on domain

Nice-to-have skills

Good Communication skills
Experience in any cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP).
Micro services architecture.

Qualifications

8 to 10 years of work experience in systems or application development
B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university. Computer science background is preferred.
