Job summary
IT Telecom consultant for It deployments for First and Middle Miles.
Key job responsibilities
IT Telecom Consultant to coordinate and collate with all necessary Amazon team (design, construction and SLP) their requirements for completing the design. Changes if any needed in their design should be accommodated and documented as per Amazon requirements
IT Telecom Consultant to work with Amazon PMs to identify the vendor for implementation, evaluate them technically and provide recommendation.
IT Telecom Consultant to review and ratify all test reports provided by installers on implementation and assist in obtaining vendor certification of the projects as per Amazon’s needs
Define telecom standard by providing a full set of detailed drawings indicating mounting and support systems and requirements. Details shall include, but are not limited to rack mounting, hardware installation and termination requirements, cable tray mounting, outlet types and configurations, complete fire stop systems details, cable routing practices and requirements, coordination details for installation of non-telecom contractor installed systems such as plywood backboards, conduits, cable trays, etc., manhole details, duct bank installation requirements, and all other pertinent information required for complete telecommunications infrastructure and support systems.
All of the IT infra related items shall be fully coordinated with all other applicable disciplines for architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural and civil requirements throughout the design process. All drawings shall be provided in PDF and AutoCAD
Review and comment on all required submittals, shop drawings, cable placement schedules and other documentation from the selected Telecommunications Contractor as required
Provide detailed specification and BOQ for the LVC works related to IT equipment and Installation.
Involve in short listing of LVC vendors and Tender Negotiation, Validate the specifications of BOQ provided by Vendors and provide Technical Recommendations on the offers
Define the SLA for design preparation, BOQ finalization and other critical work involve
Issue necessary Construction drawings and details on time in-coordination with Amazon design team and other consultants.
Attend Review Meetings from time to time to review the status and resolve the site related issues along with Project Managers.
OEM Certification post deployment for structured and any other cabling related design and implementation.
Visit the site for Audit of the passive cabling work executed by the LVC.
